Baltimore Weather
Baltimore weather is somewhat moderated by its location on the coast. As a result, the climate tends to be less severe than that found further inland. Northern Maryland's coastal plain tends to be sheltered from northwestern winds by the Appalachian Mountains. Likewise, the Delmarva Peninsula moderates tropical weather from the south. Summer temperatures typically reach the high 80's with considerable humidity and in the winter low temperatures hover around the freezing point. Rain is evenly distributed throughout the year, varying between 3 and 4 inches per month. Snow storms typically occur 3-4 times each winter.
